Since its launch in 2021, Her Circle has made a constant effort to provide women across India’s length and breadth of India with every kind of support they need. Our Health and Finance trackers have helped you achieve personal and professional targets, our affiliated experts have provided you with the guidance you need through the Help section, and our Connect communities have been your constant friend circle for support.
But apart from these, Her Circle has also striven to bring you stories of resilience and inspiration. Whether housed in our Get Inspired section, the Theme section or released as an Exclusive, these are the articles and videos that highlight the struggles and achievements of real-life sheroes—women who have faced the odds and come up on top, proving that if you follow in their paths, you too can do the same! As 2022 wraps up, let’s take a much-deserved flashback into some of our most impactful stories of the year.
January 2022
While the year might be ending once again with the news of Afghan women being stripped of their right to university education, we at Her Circle started the year on a hopeful note with an Afghan woman’s story. What makes the 20-something Afghan refugee’s story more impactful today is that she spoke with the confidence of a woman who had had access to a university education and sports, proving that education does make a huge difference. Her message to you all in January 2022 is just as relevant in December 2022: “I’d like to tell every woman around the world that don’t let the politics of a few like the Taliban dictate what we want or do in life. Support every woman who is fighting for her rights and wants to be a part of the world.”

India is now focusing on enabling entrepreneurs, no matter what their gender or age, by attempting to ensure digital inclusion of all. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this by suddenly throwing small entrepreneurs across all classes into a space where they had to quickly adapt to the change or lose business. For others, the massive shift in perceptions of entrepreneurship during the pandemic worked as a catalyst that helped them not only start new businesses but also to adapt to online modes of conducting the same. Our February focus story highlighting these stories, while also providing a toolkit for small-scale entrepreneurs in need of digital guidance.

Everywhere in the world, women work as both the foundation and the backups you need to function properly. Whether it’s as your support system at work or the caregiver who does it all at home, she has your back, always. But who has her back? In March 2022, Her Circle launched the #HasMyBack campaign to celebrate the fact that women have each other’s backs, and many of us also have immense support systems in the form of our family and friends. From highlighting how homemakers need a support system to addressing gender stereotypes that prevent women from having the support we deserve, this month focused on multiple narratives and a successful campaign on our social media platforms.
