Aam Panna is a summer drink made using raw mangoes. It nutritious and loaded with antioxidants ,potassium and vitamin C. Enjoy sweet, sour ,tangy fresh chilled aam panna everyday with this simple homemade recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
* 3 medium-sized unripe green mangoes
* 3 cups water
* 1.5 cups sugar or jaggery powder
* 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
* 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
* 2 teaspoons salt
METHOD
* Rinse the raw mangoes in water a couple of times. Cut it in halves
* Place the mangoes in a deep boiling pot. Add water.
* Boil till the mangoes are soft.
* The peels would have also separated if the mangoes are cooked well.
* Scoop out the pulp.
* Transfer into a container or bowl
* Add sugar and spices
* Blend till it reaches a fine crush like consistency
* For making aam panna drink, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of aam panna syrup in a glass.
* Add water, stir and mix well.
* You can even garnish with some mint leaves or coriander leaves or lemon wedges.
To store: Pour the aam panna syrup in a clean glass bottle or jar. Store the bottle or jar in the fridge.
