RECIPE

Serves: 2
Ingredients:
· 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
· 3 tbsp sugar
· 1/2 cup heavy cream
· ½ teaspoon salt
· 1/2 cup milk
· 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
· ½ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped compound chocolate (you can also use your favourite chocolate bar)
· Marshmallows or whipped cream for garnish
Method:
1. Combine the milk, heavy cream, cocoa, sugar, vanilla essence and salt in a saucepan.
2. Over medium to low heat, stir constantly until the cocoa and sugar are dissolved. Make sure it doesn’t reach boiling point and you don’t end up over boiling it.
3. Now add in the chocolate chips/ chopped chocolate, keep stirring till the chocolate completely melts
4. At this point your hot chocolate should be nice, rich and thick.
5. Remove from heat, top with marshmallows or whipped cream. Serve hot.
