Moms who work are expected to create a balance between their work and home life a lot more than dads who work. While the concept of equal parenting has only recently started to take precedent with today’s society, mothers still face the questions and doubts about their output at work and at home. In fact, a recent study shows that as mothers earn more at their workplace and climb higher in their careers, their household workload also increases simultaneously in what is clearly a strange gender gap. So, what do working women who are also brilliant mothers, really want? We spoke to three entrepreneurs who also happen to be moms—shoe entrepreneur Aparajita Toor, owner of hat label Myaraa Namrata Lodha & founder of AM Brandong Co, Mridul Sawhney—and quizzed them about some things they’d like people to stop asking mothers who work.
