Riding high on her fine performance in the ongoing against South Africa at home, Shafali Verma has regained the No 1 position in the ICC women’s T20 rankings. She beat Australia’s Beth Mooney after registering a score of 23 and 47 in the ongoing series.
South Africa opener Lizelle Lee has gained three places to reach 11th position among T20I batters after her innings helped South Africa take the winning 2-0 lead. Laura Wolvaardt is at number 24 for an unbeaten 53 in the second match, captain Sune Luus moved up five spots and stands at number 38, and Nadine de Klerk is at 74th position —up by three spots in the list of batters.

As for India, Deepti Sharma is at the 40th place, a significant improvement as she moved up by four places. Richa Ghosh jumped 59 places to 85th among batters. Young all-rounder Harleen Deol progressed in both lists, up 262 places to 99th among batters and up 76 places to 146th among bowlers.
