American fashion label Tory Burch has launched in India in partnership with Reliance Brands India Limited. Its first store was unveiled in New Delhi Emporio.
The recent launch adds to the brand’s growing global presence and expansion plans. Tory Burch already has stores in more than 30 countries globally including United Kingdom, France, Indonesia, Canada and many more. The brand also ships to ship to 18 countries from their global website through their partner i-parcel.
While the brand, known for its most famous logo slides, has an evident plan for diversification and global reach, its Indian diversification might be challenging given the recent spike in the country’s Covid 19 outbreak and lockdown restrictions. That said, the American fashion brand’s Indian Partner, Reliance Brands India Limited is known for its retail network with more than 40 brands under its umbrella and over 650 retail stores in the country. The retail conglomerate is also set to launch two more fashion brands, Balenciaga and Kurt Geiger in India, aside from Tory Burch.
Explaining her connection to India, Tory Burch, the label’s executive chairman and chief creative officer said in a statement, “India is a constant source of inspiration for me. Having a brand presence in this extraordinary country has been a dream of mine.”
