Pride month is here and fashion has showcased its support to the Lesbian-Gay-Transgender-Queer-Intersex-Asexual (LGBTQIA) community in different ways. Pride month, which is celebrated in June every year, attracts innumerable parades, showcases and events every year in a bid to support the community with June 28 being celebrated as Global Pride Day. Many fashion labels from across the world have debuted exclusive pride-inspired collections and collaborations as a reflection of their support to the LGBTQIA community.
American shoe and apparel label, Vans, has given its classic sneakers a rainbow twist as a nod to its support for the LGBTQ+ community. Their Pride collection also includes accessories and T-shirts featuring rainbow-hued design elements. In addition to the collection, Vans is also running a campaign that showcases four LGBTQIA creators and their stories. The creators include poet, Get Lit, painter, designer, and printmaker, Tyris Winter, singer and songwriter, Serena Isioma, and skateboarder, photographer, and creative director, Sam McGuire.

Footwear brand UGG joined hands with the Pacific Pride Foundation for a campaign that reimagines the age-old tradition of prom, giving it a more inclusive and colourful twist. The campaign features many LGBTQIA artists including Lil Nas X and Hari Nef. The brand also has a Pride collection featuring many of its genderless styles with a rainbow-coloured transformation.

Fashion house Kenneth Cole has collaborated with interactive entertainment company Zynga Inc. for its first-ever feature in the hit hyper-casual game ‘High Heels!’. As a part of the collaboration, gamers will be able to give their character a pride transformation using the virtual Kenneth Cole “Tied with Pride” Collection. The collection, which is available on their website, features many of the brand’s iconic styles reimagined with rainbow-themed design elements.

American fashion label Kate Spade New York has released its limited edition rainbow collection, whose 20 per cent profits will go to The Trevor Project, which is the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for the LGBTQIA community. The collection features the brand’s iconic handbags as well as sweaters and accessories in a rainbow-coloured avatar.

American watch and lifestyle label Fossil is also supporting The Trevor Project with its limited edition collection featuring rainbow-hued watches and straps. 100 per cent of sales of the Pride watches and straps from the Pride month will be earmarked to aid The Trevor Project.

Also featuring rainbow-inspired design elements in their pride collection is denim and apparel brand Levi’s. The brand, like every year, will be making an annual donation to OutRight Action International, which works at promoting human rights for the global LGBTQIA+ community.
