“Women are the backbone of our society. They are multitaskers – they nurture families, bind communities contribute to the workforce, and play a huge role in the success of a nation. The only thing I always feel women can do better is care for themselves.
That is why, this Women’s Day, I am honoured to announce the opening of the Well Women Centre at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. It is a one-stop, first-of-its-kind facility providing holistic healthcare solutions to women of all ages at every stage of their life – from adolescent girls to the elderly.

Founder & Chairperson, Reliance Foundation Hospital
One of the most significant aspects in establishing gender equality and improving the health of women worldwide is access to high-quality healthcare services. To achieve this objective, the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaon, Mumbai, launched a multispecialty section dedicated to the holistic treatment of women's health, on this International Women's Day. The Centre uses advanced technology like AI (Artificial Intelligence), state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a staff of highly qualified experts to treat a wide range of illnesses and conditions, including endometriosis, cancer, ovarian cortex, infertility, skin, and obesity, with the goal of improving the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of women across all age groups.
The Well Women Centre provides a crucial milestone that helps women make healthcare their top priority and ensures that they have access to comprehensive healthcare services that cater to their particular medical requirements, so they can maintain good health and quality of life.
The centre has been in the works for over two years and has fructified under the vision of several pioneers in the field of medicine, who are dedicated towards women’s health through medical sciences. The Well Women Centre offers a variety of treatments, including a holistic rejuvenation centre, assisted reproductive services, endometriosis clinics, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, a weight loss centre, and labour and delivery services. The technique of Ovarian Cortex Freezing, developed in collaboration with Denmark, is another service that is a first of its kind in India and the world. It can be used to preserve fertility in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and in young women who may experience early menopause. The Centre is also working with Israel to introduce the sperm freezing technique, which will enable even a single sperm to be preserved.
Commenting on the launch Dr. Tarang Gianchandani, Group CEO of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital said, “Indian women deserve the very best of healthcare facilities that the world has to offer and hence Well Women Centre is the manifestation of our mission to bring together national and international expertise on one platform to provide comprehensive and holistic healthcare facilities to meet the needs of women.”
Dr. Firuza Parikh, Director, Well Women Centre, stated that "Women frequently have a tendency to overlook their health since they are preoccupied with taking care of others. They can take holistically care of themselves if we can bring change in this area.” With the opening of the Well Women Centre, a single ecosystem will be established that gives women access to top-notch medical care and treats them with empathy, dignity, and respect.
Some of the most eminent doctors are on board for their services, like Dr. Firuza Parikh, Dr Asha Dalal, Dr. Neeta Warty, Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala, Dr Rahul Verma, Dr Kiran Coelho, Dr Hemant Mehta, Dr Sonali Kohli, Dr Abhishek and many others, who have come together to make this venture possible. Additionally, international experts like Dr. Brian Levine, Dr Thais Aliabadi and Dr. Claus Anderson, are also on board. The Centre aims to act as a catalyst in making ‘wellbeing’ the most important aspect in women’s lives.
