About Bharat Tex 2024
‘Bharat Tex 2024’ touted as the world’s largest textiles event, will be hosted by the Indian textile industry. The event’s purpose is to promote India as a global hub for textile industry sourcing. With the help of innovation, teamwork, and the ‘Make in India’ spirit, the initiative celebrates India’s commitment to emerging as a worldwide textile powerhouse.
Starting 2024 With A Bang
The massive event is slated to take place in New Delhi from February 26 to February 29, 2024. According to a press statement from the Ministry of Textiles, Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, and Food and Public Distribution, unveiled the event during a curtain raiser at Vanijya Bhavan in New Delhi.
The 5F vision of India is embodied in ‘Bharat Tex 2024’, which covers Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. In the textile industry, it highlights India’s readiness to compete globally and produce goods not just for the country, but across the world. The press release stated that Minister Goyal urged the sector to create ‘Brand India’ and internationally recognisable brands at the same time.
Bharat Tex 2024 Plans
The goal of ‘Bharat Tex 2024’ is to present India to the textile industry as a sophisticated, competitive global sourcing location. The event will include knowledge sessions, seminars, conferences, CEO roundtables, B2B and G2G meetings, announcements of major investments, product launches, and international collaborations that will transform the textile industry. It will also feature over 1,000 exhibitors and over 30,000 guests from 40 countries.
The event will bring together influential figures from the Indian and international textile industries while highlighting the advantages, infrastructure, and opportunities that India offers to foreign investors and purchasers. Additionally, ‘Bharat Tex 2024’ will provide a forum for foreign buyers and investors to consider India’s potential as a global consumer and manufacturer market. It will be a symbol of India’s resolve to transform the textile industry worldwide by presenting its diverse capabilities, sustainable practices, and unmatched creativity.
