National Productivity Day is observed every year on February 12 in India. It emphasises the importance of productivity in economic and social development, and how everyone should allow themselves the opportunity to establish and pursue productivity objectives.
The purpose of the day is to increase public awareness of innovation, efficiency, and productivity. Introduced by the National Productivity Council, Government of India, the idea is to motivate people to start forming positive habits that will boost productivity. It also simultaneously raises awareness about the role productivity plays in enhancing the quality of life.
