The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has declared the BSEB Matric Result 2021 for over 16.84 lakh students across the state. Education Minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, formally announced that 2021 results were made available from the Patna Office of the Board. Due to the ongoing pandemic, no schools will release the results offline. All students will be expected to view their results on the official websites only.
The top spot in the 2021 results is jointly held by three students—Pooja Kumari and Shubhdarshani from the Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya (SAV), Jamui, and Sandeep Kumar from Baldev High School, Dinara, Rohtas. All three candidates have scored 96.80 per cent with a cumulative 484 marks. As per the announcement made by Chaudhary, a total of 101 students have made it to the top 10 rankers list, and among them, 13 belong to SAV.
A total of 16,54,171 students appeared for the exam. Among this, 8,29,278 are girls while 8,24,893 are boys. A total of 12,93,054 students have successfully cleared the exams, of which 6,76,518 are boys while 6,16,536 are girls. While this year seems to have a lesser clearance rate as compared to 2020, and 2019, a total of 78.17 per cent of the students to appeared for their boards, have successfully cleared their 10th exams. In 2020, the pass percentage was 80.59 while in 2019, the pass percentage was at 80.73. As per statistics, 4,13,087 students have secured a first division result, 5,00,615 students have managed to score a second division result, and 3,78,980 students have scored in the third division.
