Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna has announced its partnership with automotive manufacturing giant Stellantis to transform its entire fleet to green cars within 2025. As per the collaboration, plug-in hybrid and full electric vehicles will be gradually introduced in Zegna’s fleet in order to reduce CO2 emissions and air pollution.
The fashion label will also install charging stations in all its offices and facilities. Apart from that its employees will get a chance to take the electric cars out for test drives and receive eco-driving and fuel-efficiency tips. In order to further encourage a greener car experience, the company will also give employees better lease schemes for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles as compared to conventional ones.
In a statement about the partnership, the CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna, Gildo Zegna said, “The quality of our products must go hand-in-hand with our respect for nature. Protecting and safeguarding the environment is a core value at Zegna for over 110 years and we are still actively committed to it. I am very proud of our partnership with Stellantis Group, which shares our same values and vision to build a better world together.”
This, however, isn’t the first time the menswear fashion label has shown its commitment to an eco-friendly way of business. Its Use The Existing project uses waste textile and garments to transform it into fresh yarn for its fresh collections.
