In a landmark event that underscores the importance of inclusivity and equity, the 2nd FICCI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Conclave will take place on June 12, 2024, at the Majestic Ballroom, The Lalit Mumbai. This year, the Conclave is driven by the theme ’DE&I - Empowerment and Collective Engagement for ViksitBharat@47’, aligning perfectly with the values championed by Her Circle.
The Conclave will feature a series of inspiring keynotes and discussions that set the stage for meaningful engagement. Uma Seth, Senior Director at FICCI, will open the event, followed by an insightful address from Keshav Suri, Chairperson of the FICCI DE&I Task Force and Executive Director of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group. Keynote addresses by Dr Anish Shah, President of FICCI, and Padma Bhushan Mrs Rajashree Birla will provide visionary perspectives on the path to an inclusive India.
The event’s agenda is packed with sessions that explore critical aspects of DE&I:
• Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): ERGs have become integral components of corporate DE&I efforts, offering numerous benefits to employees and organisations. This session will explore the transformative potential of ERGs, moderated by Jerry Johnson, VP - Head, Internal Communication & Brand Lead, Reliance Industries Ltd, and featuring leaders from HUL, State Street, Randstad India, and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.
• Supplier Diversity and Procurement Practices: Supplier diversity is critical to a comprehensive DE&I strategy, driving economic empowerment, fostering innovation, and promoting social responsibility. This session, moderated by Prof Upasna A Agarwal, Faculty at IIM Mumbai, will highlight inclusive procurement strategies with insights from experts at Crystal Crop Protection Limited, Reliance Industries, Corteva Agriscience, and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
• Importance of Data and Metrics: The importance of data and metrics for DE&I cannot be overstated. Data-driven approaches enable organisations to assess their current state of diversity, equity, and inclusion, identify areas for improvement, and track progress over time. This session, moderated by Shriram Parthasarathy, Social Media Marketing Operations Lead, Microsoft Asia, will delve into the need for clear analytics and actionable insights.
• Navigating A Multigenerational Workforce: In today’s modern workplace, understanding and navigating a multigenerational workforce is essential to foster collaboration, boost productivity, and promote a positive work environment. This session will address ways to embrace generational diversity and promote inclusivity, moderated by Amrita Tripathi, founder of Tap in Tribe, with leaders from HDFC Ergo, Cummins Inc., Nestle, and Yuvaa.
The 2nd FICCI DE&I Conclave 2024 is more than just an event; it is a movement towards a more inclusive and equitable future.
