If you’ve spent even just two minutes on Instagram recently, you’ve likely seen no fewer than hundreds of different grazing tables and cheese boards on your feed. Pinterest recently revealed the number of searches for “grazing tables” is four times higher right now than it was this time last year.
Serving sprawling spreads featuring piles of cheeses, and hearty snacks are all the rage and makes you one fancy host. But how does one set up a festive charcuterie board?
When it comes down to assembling one, they’re almost as intimidating as they are gorgeous! What cheese should you buy? What should you pair it with? Where should you place it?

Serves: 6-8 people
Ingredients:
Platter 1
1. 250 grams cheddar cubes
2. 100 grams gouda slices
3. 2 Apples, thinly sliced
4. 250 grams dark chocolate triangles
5. 50 grams almonds
6. 150 grams goat cheese
7. 100 grams potato crackers
Platter 2:
1. 200 grams feta, crumbled
2. 3-4 tablespoons Himalayan honey
3. 2 teaspoons pepper, freshly ground
4. Blueberries, handful for garnish
5. 200 grams fresh hummus
6. 8-10 Whole olives, pitted, for garnish
7. 10-15 canapé cups
8. 100 grams whole wheat lavash sticks
9. 10-12 dried apricots
Platter 3:
1. 200 grams fresh mozzarella balls (can be one whole mozzarella)
2. 2 tablespoons chilli flakes
3. 2 tablespoons olive oil
4. 1 Fresh garlic bread loaf
Platter 4:
1. 400 grams cream cheese
2. 1 tablespoons Arabian all spice
3. 1 onion, thinly sliced
4. Fresh coriander, for garnish
Method:
Platter 1
1. Cut the cheddar block into cubes
2. Slice gouda into thin rectangles
3. Arrange the cheeses towards the corner of the board
4. Thinly slice the apples and arrange them as shown in the video
5. Place dark chocolate triangles between the 2 cheeses
6. Place almonds or cashews between the gouda and apple slices
7. Now place the goat cheese in the centre
8. And fill the empty space with potato crackers
Platter 2:
1. Place the crumbled feta and drizzle honey over it
2. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper followed by blueberries
3. Place the canapés close the feta so that people know to pair them together
4. Spread hummus on the opposite end of the board and top with olives
5. Arrange the Lavash and apricots accordingly
Platter 3:
1. In a bowl, mix chilli flakes and olive oil
2. Drench the mozzarella balls with the mixture and let it rest
3. Cut the bread into slice
4. Spread with butter and toast
5. Arrange around the mozzarella bowl
Platter 4:
1. Similar to butter boards, spread the cream cheese on a wooden board
2. Sprinkle with Arabian all spice
3. Add thinly sliced onions
4. Garnish with fresh coriander
