The latest season of MasterChef Australia 13 was much-talked-about, especially in India. Apart from Justin Narayan who won the season, the show also featured another Indian-origin contestant Depinder Chhibber who is a fan favourite. Kishwar Chowdhury, who competed in the finals with Justin and Pete Campbell, has roots in Bangladesh, and had created several Indian inspired and Bengali dishes to impress judges during the course of the show.
These chefs have been ruling headlines with their cooking since Season 13 of the show started in April this year. While Depinder has been showcasing flavours from North India, Kishwar is cooking up a storm and playing on the flavours from East. There is something so heartening and uplifting about watching your desi cuisine be represented on a global scale.
