With sustainability as the focal point for the month of June 2022, we, at Her Circle, strived our best to keep things at our cover shoot as eco-friendly as possible. The brands that supported us on the fashion front played a huge role in not only keeping it sustainable thanks to their brand ideologies but also got our cover women looking and feeling stylish.
The Right Cut is a Surat-based fashion brand whose brand ethos revolves around a keen focus on handwoven Indian fabrics and a slow fashion model. Avoiding the unnecessary waste produced by excess production or stocking up of pieces, all customer orders are made-to-order.

The Right Cut’s designs strike just the right balance between modern and traditional as they create an array of contemporary silhouettes using fabrics like handwoven khadi, cotton chanderi, cotton mul and more. The khadi numbers especially stand out as they retire from the conventional look of khadi clothing mostly available today, giving the freedom fabric a vibrant spin with bright hues and contrasting details.
Hand and needle embroidery techniques that the designs feature are an ode to their attention to detail. One such example is the brand’s recently launched Lè Foliage collection, which sees a mix of applique work, needlework and cutwork on breezy textiles and modern silhouettes.
