Add A Print

While most of us look at embellished fabrics while layering, a slightly unique way to layer would be to add an ethnic print to the mix. This will not only add interest to your look but a block printed, leheriya or bandhani fabric can also layer without being too fussy or heavy for you.
Winter-Proof
If you’re looking to layer in an attempt to stay warmer when the temperature drops, a great way is to add a knit as a part of the outfit. Layering a sweater under a blouse or inside an agarakha anarkali can be an unusual but fashionable way to keep warm.

Mind The length
When layering outfits that involve a lot of volume, which most Indian outfits have, it can be useful to balance the length with similar lengths for an even looking outfit. Adding a long jacket with an anarkali or lehenga can add some ethnic drama. Alternatively, cropped jackets can also help add length to any outfit with a cropped top or blouse.
