With our ‘Free Of Rules’ series, we’re here to bust age-old fashion myths related to age, size, height and many more criteria that tend to dictate what women wear. Let’s face it- it’s 2022, and it’s time to break free from fashion rules that are pretty much irrelevant today.
Rule To Ditch #1: Jewellery is just for women
People of various genders enjoy the art of accessorising and simply enhancing their outfits with fun or minimalistic baubles. Restricting this addition of glam or finishing touches to just people of a particular gender is nothing but gender-biased. So, go ahead and put on those fun pieces without stressing about fashion rules.

Rule To Ditch #2: Heels are for girls and sneakers are for guys
Gone are the times when this rule was followed. Whether you identify as a woman, man, neither or both, your shoe picks should be entirely based on your personal style, and comfort and for some of us, what goes well with your outfit!

Rule To Ditch #3: Set silhouettes for women and men
Celebs and various fashionistas have helped us break away from this rule, with men sporting skirts or dresses, and women rocking androgynous power suits and other outfits like never before! If the era of the power suit taught us anything, it’s that silhouettes should be based on comfort and style rather than gender identities.

Rule To Ditch #4: Feminine Vs Masculine Colours
If you still think pink is only for those who identify as feminine or female, let us break it to you- pink can be worn by anyone! The same goes for many other shades on the colour spectrum that are often restricted to a gender category because of old fashion rules. So go out there and have some fun with your favourite colours!
