To be given the coveted status of a ‘hack’, the beauty tip that’s being doled out needs to do two things: One, it should save us major time, and two, it should require little effort. If you’re someone who struggles with eye make-up (don’t we all?), then these make-up hacks will be life-changing for you. Not only will they make the process of applying eyeshadow and eyeliner a 1000 times smoother but they’ll also save you some moolah. After experimenting and sifting through tons of hacks, I have narrowed down 10 that you need to try ASAP.
Use paper to avoid mascara smudges

For long and luscious lashes, make sure you wiggle your wand to get to the very root of the hair. If you manage to always end up with your mascara transferring to your eyelids, don’t fret. Just hold a piece of paper on your eyelids and go to town with your wand. This way all the pigment will only end up on the paper and won’t ruin your eye make-up.
Warm up your lids with a coral blush

If you’re going for a no make-up make-up look, just brush on a sheer layer of coral blush to your lids. Not only will this give your eyes some depth, but also get rid of any blue tones around the eyes that can make you look tired.
Prime your lids

Doing this will ensure your make-up lasts longer, stays in place, and makes eyeshadow pigment pop. If you have an eyelid primer on hand, great! Otherwise, you can always apply concealer or foundation on your lids and dust some setting powder to set it.
Use a nude eyeliner in your waterline

To instantly look more awake without doing much eye make-up, simply line your waterline with a nude or white kajal.
A damp brush will intensify eyeshadow pigment

To intensify metallic eyeshadow, take a blending brush and dampen it with water or setting spray. Dip this in the pan and apply it to your lids. You’ll instantly notice that the formula pops!
Pulsate your lash curler

Instead of holding it static while curling your lashes, pulsate your lash curler gently about five to 10 times. This will create more tension and give them more of a lift.
Use red lipstick as colour corrector

To even out the colour of your eyelids, simply mix some red lipstick with your concealer or foundation. This peach corrector will cancel out any dark circles and eye bags.
Use a spoon for eye make-up

Place a spoon on your eyelid and using the curved head as a stencil, apply eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eye. Then, keep the handle of the spoon on the outer corner of your eye in a way that it aligns with the tip of your eyebrow and dab some eyeshadow. Voila!
