Embrace the spirit of summer with this crown-braid-meets-side-braid situation. Begin by taking side sections of your hair and braiding them–fishtail or dutch, your choice–and then loosen them out. Tuck and pin at the back of your head. Take the rest of your hair and twist it till it coils on itself. Pin in place and voila! You're done. Side braids can be dressed up with a variety of options including flowers, butterfly clips or barrettes.

Take this hair from work to weddings, it is that versatile! Begin by gathering your hair in a low ponytail and half loop it. Divide the longer sections in two parts and braid them. Secure with an elastic and wrap these around the bun.

The best part of working with a scarf braid is that you don’t have to stick to a particular style. Depending on your skill set, hair texture and patience level, you can opt to do a dutch, fishtail or rope braid.
On a hair tie, knot a scarf. Use the hair tie to secure your mane in a ponytail. Divide your hair in two sections and using the longer edge of the scarf, weave it in a three strand braid. Secure the ends with a hair elastic.

The trick to making any hairstyle look way fancier than it is lies in using accessories strategically. You can use a scarf to secure the ends of your braid and it’ll instantly add a pop of colour to any look!
French braid

Create three sections from right above your ears, keeping your parting as is. Take the left section of your hair and bring it over the centre section and then pull that part over the left. Then bring the right section over the centre and repeat. Continue till you’ve reached about two inches from the ends of your hair. Secure with a hair tie and then use a cord to wrap up the ends.
