When it comes to make-up, we often have to resist the urge to try everything at once. But when festive season comes around, we have the perfect reason to experiment with make-up any day of the week. Classic make-up looks are always a safe bet but no one says you can’t add a little bit of razzle-dazzle every now and then. Ahead, find 10 make-up looks that are easy-to-recreate and timeless…
All bronzed out
Metallic bronze eyeshadow instantly looks lovely when used on Indian skin tones, even if it’s just a light dusting. This is why it is so easy and timeless to wear, no matter what the occasion. Pair it with kohl’d eyes and lots of eyeliner and you have yourself a head-turning look!
Hints of gold
The tiniest hints of gold on your lids and inner corners of your eyes are just enough to enhance your look. The shimmer needs to be perfectly blended in the crease with a nude shadow. To really let the gold take centre stage, keep the rest of your look pared back.
Tropical paradise
The pearly pink shimmer on the lids looks effortless when paired with a fuchsia pink eyeliner. The glitter draws attention to the eyelids and the bright liner creates a lovely contrast. Experiment with the colours of your choice and remember, the more colourful, the better.
Golden glossy glam
Bright golden lids when paired with a glossy red lip just work so well. If blocky shadow isn’t your thing, blend the colour on your crease to give it some extra definition. Winged eyeliner, false eyelashes and a few coats of mascara finish the look of strong, don’t they?
Metallic green lids
Emerald colour shadows work well with all skin tones and eye colours, making them our favourite formulas to use. Pro tip: When working with metallic and shimmer products, keep some scotch tape handy to pick up any fall out.
Golden cut crease
Extend your cut crease in a wing shape and load up on glitter pigment towards the inner corners of your eyes. For the more daring ones, you can try this look in different colours.
Blue overload
The most subtle of blue shadow makes a statement, like this gorgeous frosty formula that is scattered across the eyelids. Apply the shadow to lids in a packing motion with your brush or finger to ensure you get the desired level of gold you're going for.
Brown smokey eye
Shereen Sikki makes a strong case for brown eyeshadow and we’re not complaining. The smoked out effect around her eyes instantly adds serious drama to the look. To get the look, all you need is a creamy brown pencil eyeliner and some matte black eyeshadow.
Serving pink glitter
Pink glitter packs a powerful punch on the eyes and the black wing softens the look. Whether you opt for this look for a special occasion or wear it as it is, it will be a hit any way! Pro tip: If you want to soften the look even more, opt to blend your black eyeshadow with some brown.
